Amazing family car from Tata
Pros : Excellent mileage, very comfortable, decent pickup and cool Features
Cons : The quality of the plastic and interiors need refinement, better finishing is a big requirement
I purchased Tata Indigo XL in February 2011 and I am very satisfied with the performance, mileage, comfort and luxury this fabulously priced conveyance provides me. It’s a very good machine and has a lot of space. AC is amazing and it provides great comfort to the people sitting inside. Very comfortable back seats compels me to fall asleep, sometimes I prefer to take a small nap on long tours. Pickup has been excellent with the new DICOR engine. Hardly hear any engine sound inside the cabin.
Engine is powerful enough to take car from 0 to 60 km/hr in 6 seconds and has maximum speed limit of 140 km/hr which is decent enough as Indian roads don’t even allow anyone to reach this point. I am amazed at getting mileage of 14 km/litre in city (Jaipur) in high traffic conditions and 18 km/litre on highways encourage me to take it on long tours. I did a lot of research on the cars of this segment namely Maruti Swift Dzire, Mahindra Logan, Ford Fiesta TDCI but Indigo XL is far superior in many respects than the others. It’s definitely worth owing one than many of the premium cars and saves a lot of money. Also spares are cheap when compared to the others and maintenance cost is much lower than I expected. After sales service provided by Tata is much better.
Overall it’s a great machine developed by Tata however there are too many variants available in Indigo that is one of the reasons why this awesome machine has lost out its unique identity but still a big thanks to Tata for providing Indian customers with such a well featured fully equipped car at the all time best price.
