Cleaning Windshield From Inside: A Guide

Cleaning Windshield From Inside: A Guide

Cleaning the car not only keeps its paint looking attractive and fresh for a long time, but also keeps your car free from debris and other dirt. While cleaning the segment, which is almost ignored, it is cleaning the windshield from the inside. Normally, when it comes to cleaning the windshield, almost every car owner considers its cleaning from the outside enough to enjoy clear vision while driving.

Whereas, according to car experts, maintaining a spotless windshield can significantly improve on-road clarity. For cleaning the exterior, drivers can simply pull the wiper lever toward themselves to spray washer fluid and run the wipers for one to three cycles.

Step-by-Step Guide to Clean the Inside of a Windshield

Materials Required:
• Lint-free microfiber cloths
• Magic eraser or glass cleaner
• Water
• Glass cleaner

Step 1: Initial Wipe: Start by wiping the interior surface with a dry microfiber cloth. In the words of technicians, to clean the windshield from inside, always use circular motions first, followed by vertical strokes to avoid smudges. The area near the dashboard is quite difficult to clean; for this, turning your back toward the rear of the vehicle and using your backhand helps access the tighter spots effectively.

Step 2: Degreasing the Glass: Use a magic eraser soaked in warm water, and gently scrub the glass in circular motions to remove film and residue. Dry the area immediately with a clean microfiber towel to prevent streaking. You can also use the cleaning solution sprayed on a cloth to clean the glass. Remember not to apply the cleaning solution directly to the windshield. Apply the cleaning solution with a cloth in the same way to remove grease and buildup.

Step 3: Final Glass Cleaning: Finally, as the last step, apply glass cleaner to a microfiber cloth and continue wiping in circular and vertical directions, once the glass is dry. Avoid spraying the cleaner directly onto the windshield, as excess droplets may fall on the dashboard and cause discolouration.

A properly cleaned windshield not only improves visibility, especially during the night, but also reduces glare and increases safety.
