The outgoing Audi TT model in the country was the one that was introduced worldwide in 2007 and has been replaced by the 2011 version, which is now in India. The New TT has been made available as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in its 2+2 seater avatar in India. The other models available across the globe of exiting vehicle comprises of Audi TT Roadster and Audi TT RS variants.
The Audi TT Coupe is based on the Volkswagen Group’s A5 platform and has got a futuristic design in the exterior that is more purposeful besides being iconic as ever. The Audi TT can not only be restricted to sports car category, but also fits into the luxury sports coupe with its extraordinary levels of fit and finish level inside the cabin.
It has got a traditional bigger ‘yawning’ front grille along with powerful Xenon high-intensity headlamps with strip of daytime running LEDs below it, while there are broader air dams at the front that carry fog lamps that ensure safety in any weather condition. Furthermore, the bonnet is utmost sleek with only two sophisticated cues flowing towards the giant wind screen. The structure has steel merged with strong and light weight aluminum frame that allows it to fly on the road with optimum safety. The TT comes with standard 16-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels in the 3.2L Quattro models. The rear sees a pulled back roof and cabin that has large twin exhaust pipes along with a central fog light and a stylish-n-sporty full sized rear spoiler.
The interiors are extremely luxurious, which you are bound to expected in a Rs 46 Lakh plus vehicle, and is filled with latest gadgets like the Multi Media interface on the dashboard along with an advanced music system with USB, Bluetooth connectivity, while the design of the instrument panel is cleverly done. The standard heated seats are trimmed into the finish of leather and alcantara and are electrically adjustable as per choice. The back seats are for kids as they have lesser head room and shoulder room and are foldable in order to increase the cargo space at the boot, which proves to be handy at all times. Furthermore, the safety and security aspects appointed are undoubtedly the most advanced in the recent times.
There are two engine options expected to be offered to the Indian car buyers that are of 2.0L Turbocharged diesel with four-cylinder that churns around a neat 200 PS of power, while the other 3.2-liter mammoth petrol engine with V6 producing nearly 250 PS of maximum power. Both the engines are projected to be coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed S tronic transmission available as an option.
