May 8, 2914: Ford Fiesta Classic is now available with starting price of Rs. 4.88 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi. It is for the second time this year that Ford India has revised the price of its classic sedan as earlier this year in the month of January company had slashed its prices from Rs. 5.65 lakh to Rs. 4.99 lakh. Fiesta Classic is available in both petrol and diesel variants with petrol variant energized with 1.6 litre petrol Duratec engine churning the power of 101 bhp and torque of 146 Nm, while the diesel is equipped with 1.4 litre Duratorq diesel engine developing the power of 68 bhp and torque of 160 Nm.

14 August, 2012: The recently re-named sedan ‘Ford Classic’ gets an embarrassing jolt of recall from Ford Motors in India. It is observed that there are some severe problems with Power steering hose (PAS) and Rear Twist Beam (RTB) and needs an urgent fix. As per the Ford engineers such a concern is only present in the sedans manufactured between September 2010 and February 2011. This hose and beam will be replaced in the problematic Classic sedans without any charge from the customers. On the preventative side, the company is also keeping a check on the Ford Classic produced in between the period January 2008 to December 2010, just to ensure everything is up to the mark.
New Ford Classic Titanium launched in India
16 July, 2012 : Ford has now plugged in the gap of ‘Titanium’ version in its Classic sedan lineup by introducing the same with some exhilarating features, which are rarely seen in rival sedans like Maruti Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios sedan and Mahindra Verito. The company has now dropped the top-end trim SXI to make way for Titanium in petrol and diesel department.
