Hyundai i10 Rivals
The long living inaugural compact city car from the Korean carmaker Hyundai i10 has now stepped up to compete with new kid on the block, Honda Brio. Over the years, Hyundai i10 has build up a unique and commanding attachment with car buyers in India. Both the compact hatchbacks cars suit the city conditions well. Inside i10, there are features like advanced music player with aux-in, USB and CD player, tiltable steering and OVRMs mounted side-indicators. More or less same aspects are available in Brio too, with an altogether fresh get-up, which is really appealing. However, the premium distinctive element of ‘Sunroof’ in i10, a segment first, cannot be ignored.
Here Honda Brio has the potential to become a capable segment leader, but it cannot wipe-off the trust and reliability stature of Hyundai i10 of its fans in India at one go. Honda Brio responds to ‘Sunroof’ with full glass boot lid at rear, which makes the young blood overwhelmed. The performance by the petrol power trains of the two, are cut-to-cut, while Hyundai i10 goes very well on the highways, together with Brio coming handy in city drives. The safety features consist of Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and dual SRS airbags among others in i10, whereas Japanese hatch has all these functions accompanied by Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
