September 9, 2022: According to recent reports, Jeep, the Indian alliance of the US carmaker Jeep has increased the price of the compact SUV Compass by Rs 90,000. With this, the company has also discontinued the Longitude (O) trim from its existing portfolio. The compact SUV was launched back in 2017 with 1.4-litre DCT petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine options.

 

April 19, 2022: The Jeep India has recently launched the Compass Night Eagle Edition in the Indian car market with a price tag of Rs 21.95 lakh. Like the pre-facelift version of Compass, its Night Eagle Edition also receives the black coloured treatment on both the exterior and interior fronts. Mechanically it will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant receives a 1.4-litre multitair turbo engine, whereas the diesel variant receives the power from a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder multijet turbo engine.

  

 

 

January 27, 2021: The US carmaker Jeep has launched the awaited facelift Compass in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The company has also launched the Limited Anniversary Edition of Compass to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the company. The facelift Compass continues to be offered with an existing engine configuration, whereas the anniversary edition comes equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and mated with a manual gear transmission system. It is prices Rs. 22.96 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The facelift Compass lots of new updates on both the exterior and interior fronts.

  

 

October 27, 2020: According to reports, the American carmaker Jeep is all set to unveil the 2021 Compass in China next month at the Guangzhou Salon. In its upgraded avatar, the facelift Compass will not receive any major changes except few cosmetic updates on the exterior and interior front. A major change would be an introduction of a new .3-litre turbocharged engine that will generate the power of 180 bhp and the torque of 285Nm. This engine will be mated with a CVT automatic transmission system. In India, the Compass 2021 will be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine generating the power of 173 bhp and the torque of 350Nm.

June 19, 2018: American car maker Jeep has launched the limited edition of its compact crossover SUV Compass in the Indian car market named as BedRock Edition with the price tag of Rs. 17.53 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The limited edition has been launched to celebrate the sale of 25,000 units of Compass sold in the Indian car market. Mechanically it continues to be offered with existing engine configuration of 2.0 litre engine mated with six speed manual transmission system. It is embellished with bunch of some features like reverse parking sensors, side step for ingress, black roof rails, sixteen inch gloss black alloy wheels, high quality floor mats, BedRock logo engraved on the seat covers and BedRock decals and monogram across the exterior portion.
