Maruti Suzuki Unveils Its First EV Vitara In India
December 3, 2025: Maruti Suzuki has launched its first electric SUV, the e VITARA Born EV, offering up to 543 km range, making it one of India’s longest-range EVs. The company has already installed 2,000+ charging points across 1,100 cities and announced plans to set up 1 lakh EV charging stations by 2030 in partnership with 13 operators. With DC fast chargers on highways, trained EV manpower, and 1,500 EV-ready workshops, Maruti Suzuki aims to ensure smooth, accessible EV ownership nationwide.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara To Debut Tomorrow
December 1, 2025: Maruti Suzuki will finally launch the e-Vitara electric SUV in India tomorrow, although the model has already been produced for export markets for months. Built at the Gujarat plant, it has been shipped to Europe ahead of its domestic debut. The e-Vitara will be sold via Nexa and is expected to start above Rs 17 lakh. It offers two BYD-sourced battery packs, up to 500+ km range, fast charging, and modern features, competing with Tata, Hyundai, Mahindra, and MG EVs.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Records Strong Global Sales
November 1, 2025: Maruti Suzuki has exported over 7,000 units of its first all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara, to 12 European markets between August and September 2025. Manufactured at the Hansalpur plant in Gujarat, the SUV marks India’s growing presence in global EV exports. Featuring two battery options, advanced safety features, and a range of up to 500 km, the e-Vitara will officially launch in India in December 2025, competing in the mid-size EV segment.

April 7, 2025: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country's leading car manufacturing company is getting ready to step into the electric vehicle segment with the launch of its best-selling compact SUV Vitara to be christened as e-Vitara. Before the official announcement of its launch, Maruti dealers across the country started accepting bookings for the compact SUV. After launch in the Indian car market, the e-vitara will compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta electric and the Tata Curvv EV, one of the best-selling coupe SUVs.
