Customers can reserve the compact SUV by paying a token amount of Rs11,000 through authorised Arena dealerships or the company's official website. The updated Brezza is expected to feature refreshed exterior styling, a more premium cabin, and several new comfort and connectivity features. It may also introduce a new turbo-petrol engine alongside the existing 1.5-litre petrol option, offering buyers more choices. With these upgrades, Maruti Suzuki aims to strengthen the Brezza's position in India's highly competitive compact SUV segment.
Maruti Suzuki Launches Facelift Brezza In India
July 24, 2026: Maruti Suzuki has rolled out the facelift version of the Brezza in India, priced from Rs7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift version of the compact SUV gets new looks, consisting of new front and back parts, as well as some new features. However, the main novelty is the new 1.0-liter turbo-petrol BoosterJet engine combined with a six-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the facelifted version of the Brezza gets some new features inside the cabin. With new looks and additional features, the 2026 Brezza is supposed to help Maruti Suzuki reinforce its position in the compact SUV segment.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza had been among the best-selling compact SUVs in India due to its practical size, comfortable interior, efficiency and Maruti Suzuki's vast ownership. The 2026 Brezza facelift is a follow-up to the second generation model launched in 2022 and includes enhancements to its design, interior, tech, comfort and safety features. There is an introduction of a turbo-petrol engine in the facelift, offering buyers additional options.
There are three powertrain choices available on the new Brezza. There is the well-known 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine in manual and automatic configurations as well as the factory fitted CNG variant that comes with a six-speed manual transmission only. The significant update mechanically is the introduction of the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque and it is available in a six-speed manual only.

Maruti Brezza Looks
Although the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza has maintained its upright and boxy body shape like its predecessor, there have been some subtle changes done in the styling aspect of the vehicle. Since the present model has a very identifiable road presence, Maruti Suzuki hasn't gone in for any major changes in the exterior styling aspect. There have only been some minor tweaks and modifications done on the front end and certain other elements to differentiate this facelifted model from its predecessor.
For starters, the front-end has received an updated grille and bumper. In higher variants, there is a revised chrome grille garnish, which has replaced the previous silver trim. These are some subtle yet effective changes, which have ensured that the overall styling is kept fresh. There aren't many changes to be seen in the side profile of the vehicle. It has received wheel arch cladding, dual tone door cladding, roof rails in higher variants and a shark fin antenna. One of the more visible changes in the side profile of the Brezza is the redesigned 16 inch alloy wheels.
The changes at the rear are less radical. The Brezza retains its wrap-around LED tail lamps, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, and huge BREZZA letters on the boot lid. There have been minor changes to the rear bumper, but the overall look at the rear has not changed much.
The range of colours includes seven, namely, Vivacious Orange, Lustrous Beige, Pearl Arctic White, Bluish Black, Splendid Silver, Magma Grey, and Sizzling Red. Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige are the two new colours. There are three dual-tone colour schemes available as well, with the black roof available in combination with Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red, and Lustrous Beige.
The interior sees a bit of difference compared to its exterior. The instrument cluster has received a slight makeover and the SUV has a new steering wheel, new door-pad inserts, and new climate control interface. These tweaks don’t completely revamp the interior but help to give it a more contemporary look, along with being well-suited to the current generation of Maruti Suzuki.
In higher variants, there is a dual tone interior with brown and black colors, while the premium variants feature leatherette seats. The revamped front center armrest has gained some additional storage space, thus making it even more functional for the front cabin area. The rear passengers still get separate AC vents, USB charging ports, seatback pockets, and a center armrest with cupholders in higher variants.
The interior design is made keeping practicality in mind. The boxy SUV design makes sure that the driver is comfortably seated and can have excellent visibility from the car. The rear seat features of the Brezza ensure that it is perfect for family use. Higher variants also come with a 60:40 split foldable rear seat.
Comfort and Convenience Features
There are a lot of features that make the 2026 Brezza comfortable for its owners, although equipment levels differ a lot between different variants. Entry-level variants have basic equipment, whereas some additional luxurious options become available with ZXi and ZXi Plus variants.
Higher variants come with an automatic climate control system, cruise control system, single-pane electric sunroof, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and head-up display. Ventilated front seats are added to the most advanced ZXi Plus variant which makes the interior more comfortable in hot weather. Connected-car systems became another big addition to the facelifted version, which gives it a more up-to-date driving experience.
There is a front center armrest, which offers some extra storage space, and air-conditioning vents and charging sockets for rear passengers. Other additions for rear passengers include center armrest with cup holders, seat back pockets, rear parcel tray, and luggage lamp.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Perhaps one of the most significant improvements in the 2026 Brezza is its infotainment system. In the top model, there is an enhanced 10.1-inch touchscreen that is bigger than the 7-inch touch screen found in other variants of the car. In addition to the screen, the system has been equipped with the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for the easy connection of the phones through Bluetooth.
The advanced technology can also be seen in the higher variants as well as in ZXi Plus where there is a provision for internet connectivity, in-built navigation, Alexa AI assistant and software updates via air. The advanced technology in the infotainment system makes the Brezza highly sophisticated.
The audio system in the different variants of the Brezza is also different with the higher variants having an ARKAMYS six-speaker audio system whereas ZXi Plus having a six-speaker surround-sound system.
Ambient Lighting, Wireless Charging and Sunroof
A number of features are also being added as part of the Brezza facelift that were earlier missing in the model. The car comes with an electric one-piece sunroof that makes the interior more luxurious, especially in case of the higher variants. Ambient lighting is provided in the new generation Brezza, with the high-end ZXi Plus variant getting the better one with multiple colors.
Wireless phone charging is another convenient addition that comes as handy when the owner wants to charge their smartphone without plugging in the charging wire. It is also combined with the active cooling in the high-end variants of the new generation Suzuki Brezza.
Ventilated Front Seats
Ventilated front seats are among the additional features that come as part of the new generation Brezza, particularly for Indian conditions. This technology involves circulating of air in the surface of the seat to cool the person sitting on it. Ventilation of the front seats is only available in the top-spec variant. Leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, advanced infotainment system, and other features make the ZXi Plus the most luxurious variant of the Brezza.
Head-Up Display
The head-up display is one more top-end feature that is available in the ZXi Plus variant. This feature displays all the relevant information in front of the driver, making it unnecessary for the driver to keep looking downwards at the instrument console. The head-up display acts in conjunction with the standard instrument console as well as the large-sized infotainment touchscreen to make the entire system much more tech-friendly. Although the Brezza uses an analogue instrument console with a multi-information display, the head-up display does bring in a little bit of the modern element into the equation.

LXi Turbo
This is the entry-level model of the latest generation Brezza, and it is priced at Rs7.40 lakh. It uses the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which offers 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque with the help of a six-speed manual gearbox. The claimed fuel economy for this model is 20.47 kmpl.
Although it is the base model, it comes with some crucial safety features like six airbags, ESP, ISOFIX child seat mount and rear parking sensors. LXi

The LXi is designed mainly for those customers who want the SUV version of Brezza but do not wish to pay for luxury options. All standard safety equipment and convenience options are available, while those customers who want factory touchscreen, alloy wheels, sunroof and other luxury convenience features should consider higher variants.
VXi Turbo
The VXi Turbo version is priced at Rs8.55 lakh and features the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine coupled with the VXi trim level. Its output is 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque, and the engine is mated with a six-speed manual transmission. The claimed fuel economy is 20.47 kmpl.

Maruti Brezza Performance
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza of 2026 comes with three powertrain variants. First is the already existing 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild hybridization technology. It generates 103 PS and 139 Nm of torque. This variant of the engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
This engine is the most versatile powertrain among the entire lineup because it comes with both transmissions. Those customers who like to drive in the city traffic could go for the automatic transmission while those who wish to save on purchase costs would opt for the manual one.
The second type of the powertrain is the 1.5-litre CNG engine which comes as a factory fitted variant. In CNG format, it provides 88 PS and 121.5 Nm of torque. It also comes with only the six-speed manual transmission. It uses underbody dual cylinder arrangement. Thanks to this, Maruti Suzuki could save luggage space while providing the cost-effective fuel alternative.
Third and the most significant one is the addition of the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. From Fronx, the engine develops 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque, which makes it the highest torque-producing engine on offer from the range of engines available in the Brezza. However, the engine is available only in a six-speed manual and no automatic variant.
Mileage and Fuel Economy
Fuel economy is one of the biggest strengths of the Brezza. Petrol manual engine produces 21.09 kmpl mileage in the LXI and VXI models whereas ZXI manual model provides an efficiency rating of 21.50 kmpl. For the automatic engine, the efficiency rating is 22.17 kmpl.
In case of the CNG variant, the engine produces an efficiency rating of 26.90 km/kg. Thus, this becomes the most economical powertrain in terms of the efficiency quoted by the manufacturer.
The new turbo-petrol engine offers up to 20.47 kmpl in the LXI and VXI variants, while the ZXI and ZXI Plus versions are rated at 19.96 kmpl. These figures are ARAI-claimed figures and actual efficiency will depend on traffic, road conditions, driving style, vehicle load and the use of air conditioning.
One of the areas that sees a huge improvement on the 2026 Brezza is safety. All variants come equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounting and three-point seat belts with reminders. Rear parking sensors are also included, making it a good basic safety package for the lower variants.
For the higher variants, there is inclusion of more advanced safety and parking features. Depending on the variant, one can have features such as rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitor system, 360-degree camera and auto-dimming inside rear view mirror.
Also included in the higher variants are some of the Level 1 ADAS features. Among the features include blind spot assistance, safe exit assist and rear cross-traffic assist.
The 2026 Brezza's safety package is significantly more comprehensive than a basic entry-level compact SUV. Six airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and three-point seatbelts with reminders are available across the range. Higher variants progressively add rear cameras, front parking sensors, TPMS, a 360-degree camera and an auto-dimming IRVM.
Selected higher variants also get Level 1 ADAS functions, including Blind Spot Warning, Safe Exit Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems are intended to provide additional assistance in situations where visibility is limited or another vehicle is approaching from an area that may not be immediately visible to the driver.
Ride and Handling
The Brezza has traditionally been designed more as a comfortable family SUV than as a sporty driver's car, and the 2026 facelift continues this approach. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine offers 103 PS and 139 Nm, which should be adequate for regular city and highway driving. The availability of a six-speed torque-converter automatic also makes the petrol version convenient for buyers who frequently drive through congested urban traffic.
The new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine changes the performance character of the SUV. With 110 PS and 170 Nm, it offers more torque than the naturally aspirated engine and should provide stronger acceleration and improved flexibility during overtaking. However, its availability only with a manual gearbox means buyers looking for a turbo-petrol automatic will not find that combination in the Brezza range.
The CNG version is focused more on economy than performance. Its 88 PS and 121.5 Nm output is lower than both petrol engines, but the factory-fitted CNG system provides the benefit of a significantly higher claimed fuel-efficiency figure.
