The generation next Hyundai Verna sedan by Korean car maker Hyundai Motors was showcased during Chengdu Motor Show held during the month of September in China. The India bound version of this luxurious sedan is reported to make its debut in Indian car market sometimes during the second half of next years, with this the reports also reveal that this time in its new avatar the sedan will also feature mild hybrid engine system. The hybrid Verna will be launched in direct competition with Ciaz from Maruti Suzuki India Limited. An interesting feature of hybrid feature introduced by Korean car maker is that it will use the energy generated while slowing down the speed of car for recharging the battery. The energy developed during the slowing down process will be stored in lithium ion battery after it is converted into electricity.
As far as variant in which mild hybrid technology will be introduced by Korean car maker is not yet cleared. However going through its competition with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and encouraging performance of diesel Ciaz with SHVS hybrid technology it is believed that Hyundai will also introduce mild hybrid technology in diesel variant of Verna.
Physically the generation next Hyundai Verna will have length of 4,380mm, width of 1,728mm, height of 1,460 mm. On the exterior it will embellish the new design philosophy introduced by company in global version of i30 hatchback, and new cascading grille at front fascia.
