38,500 Bookings Garnered By The New Hyundai Santro 2018 Since Launch
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) the Indian alliance of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors had launched the refreshed version of its one time best-selling hatchback Santro back in the Indian car market on October 23, 2018. Now after almost one month since its launch the hatchback has garnered 38,500 bookings, which is an indication that the hatchback has succeeded in receiving an overwhelming response from the Indian buyers. In its new avatar, the hatchback is equipped with Smart Auto AMT technology and company fitted CNG kit, which is also for the first time offered in the niche. With the starting price of Rs. 3.89 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi), the Santro is offered in AMT and CNG variants along with the petrol variant.
Mechanically, the new Santro is empowered with 1.1 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine that generates the power of 67 bhp and the torque of 99 Nm, with transmission duties performed by five-speed manual transmission system along with an option of automatic transmission system. The list of other features offered in the new Santro includes, seven inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice recognition and MirrorLink, moving the additional features include rear air conditioner vents, power windows at both front and rear portions, electronic ORVMs, rear wipers, reverse parking camera, instrument cluster with MID, and many more.
