4 Electric SUVs In The Pipeline of Mahindra During Three Months
The domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra is flying in the seventh sky after its recent launch - Scorpio N SUV. It is the third vehicle by the company in the last three years. Now the company is looking to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle segment. Apart from bringing the upgraded versions of Thar and the generation next Bolero, the homegrown car maker is getting ready to launch the plethora of electric SUVs in the country.

According to reports the company plans to unveil four new electric SUVs in the Indian car market during the next three months. Three of these four new EV SUVs will be showcased on August 15, 2022. The company sources have confirmed that it will unveil its highly awaited electric version of its SUV XUV300 in the Indian car market in September 2022. The company will name the electric SUV300 Mahindra XUV400.
The upcoming electric SUV will represent the company’s new Born EV range of vehicles. The electric vehicles based on the Born EV platform are developed and designed by Mahindra Advance Design Europe division based in the United Kingdom. The ‘Born Electric Vision’ will reveal the range of the company’s electric SUVs to be launched in future.
The teaser released by Mahindra showcases three upcoming SUVs including a mid-sized SUV, an SUV coupe, and a compact SUV. Among these three vehicles, the SUVs will be developed on the new bespoke ‘Born Electric EV’ platform, whereas the coupe will reveal the vision of the future XUV900 coupe. The mid-sized SUV will look like the SUV700, whereas the compact SUV will be the generation next to the XUV500. This will be placed between XV300 and XUV700.
It would be interesting to know that Mahindra has recently joined hands with British International Investment (BLL) to invest Rs 1,925 crore in India. The funds received from this UK-based financial institution will be used for the development and marketing of a global electric SUV enriched with the latest technologies. The company sources have confirmed that the electric XUV400 will be officially launched in September this year. This electric SUV will be based on Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture platform.
