Ban on diesel SUVs eliminated from Delhi by SC
There is exciting and interesting which will undoubtedly bring smiles on the faces of car manufacturers suffering from the ban by Supreme Court on transportation of diesel vehicles in Delhi-NCR region with more than 2,000 displacement capacity. Going through the regular appeals made by car manufacturers for removing the ban on diesel vehicles he Supreme Court of India today said that the manufacturers of diesel vehicles can sale their products in Delhi by paying a green fine to make arrangements for catering the conditions which are responsible for polluting the environment.
In its decision the Supreme Court said that it would impose tax (1% of retail price) on the sale of diesel vehicles in Delhi. As reported earlier recently the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has announced to restrict the transportation of diesel vehicles, which have been more than years older in Delhi-NCR region.
