Bentley Unveils First EV Torcal With 600 Km Range
The British carmaker Bentley has entered the electric vehicle segment with the unveiling of the new Torcal, the luxury carmaker’s first fully electric production model. The premium SUV combines Bentley’s traditional luxury and craftsmanship with advanced electric technology, offering strong performance, a claimed range of up to 600 km and a highly sophisticated cabin. The Bentley Torcal will initially be available in two versions: the standard Torcal and the performance-focused Torcal S. The new model also introduces a fresh design direction for Bentley while retaining several styling elements associated with the brand.

Powerful Electric Performance
The Bentley Torcal uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. The standard version produces 821 PS and 1,155 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in around 3.4 seconds. It has a claimed top speed of 250 kmph. The more powerful Torcal S raises output to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, making it the most powerful production Bentley to date.
Up To 600 Km Range
The electric SUV is equipped with a 113.2 kWh battery and an 800V electrical architecture. Bentley claims that the Torcal can deliver up to 600 km of range on a full charge. The model supports high-speed DC charging, with the battery capable of charging from 10% to 80% in around 16 minutes under suitable charging conditions. Bentley also says that a 10-minute charging session can add a significant amount of driving range.
Distinctive Exterior Design
The Torcal introduces a more modern and minimalist interpretation of Bentley’s design language. One of its most noticeable features is the illuminated floating diamond grille, which incorporates 76 individually applied LED diamonds. The SUV also gets Bentley’s updated emblem and aerodynamic styling elements. The standard model is offered with 21-inch wheels, while the sportier Torcal S gets larger 22-inch wheels.
Premium Luxury Interior
Inside, the Torcal focuses heavily on comfort and craftsmanship. The cabin combines premium materials, handcrafted finishes and advanced technology. The front seats offer 16-way electric adjustment along with heating, ventilation and massage functions. Bentley has also introduced its Dynamic Symphony sound experience. Instead of simply reproducing a conventional artificial engine note, the system uses recordings of real musical instruments to create an evolving sound that changes with the vehicle’s acceleration.
Advanced Technology
The Torcal comes with a range of driver-assistance and convenience technologies. Depending on the market and specification, features include advanced parking assistance, remote parking, connected services and systems that can assist with steering, braking and acceleration. With the Torcal, Bentley is combining its traditional focus on luxury and craftsmanship with electric performance and modern technology. The new SUV marks an important step in the brand’s transition towards electrification.
