Bookings Of BS-VI Tata Harrier Starts Ahead Of Its Launch At Auto Expo 2020
Domestic car maker Tata Motors has commenced the bookings of BS-VI compliant Harrier compact SUV with the token amount of Rs. 30,000 ahead of its launch during the Indian Auto Expo 2020. Developed on the OMEGARC platform outsourced from Land Rover D8, the BS-VI Compliant Harrier will be equipped with a Kryotec diesel engine that generates the power of 170PS and will be also equipped with six-speed automatic transmission system, along with the existing manual gear transmission system. After the launch in India, the Harrier 2020 will go against the likes of Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500, and Kia Seltos.
Speaking about the features that would be offered in the new Harrier, it will be embellished with a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels, six-way powered driver seat with adjustable lumbar support and auto-dimming rearview mirrors. These features will be however offered in the top end variant XZ+ and XZA+. The Electronic Stability Programme is offered as a standard feature in all the trims. There will be overall seven trims namely XE, XM, XT, XT (Dark), XZ, XZ (Dark) and XZ (Dual Tone).
As far as the price of new Tata Harrier is concerned it is believed to be priced Rs. 1 lakh higher than its existing price. There will be no wheel drive option. The paint scheme will include the new Calypso Red, Calisto Copper, Ariel Silver, Orcus White, Telesto Grey and Thermisto Gold. There will be also dual-tone color options including Calisto Copper with black roof and block roof with Orcus White.
