Buying Nissan Magnite To Get Costlier From April 2021
It is for the second time this year that the major carmakers have decided to hike the prices of their entire portfolio with effect from April 1, 2021. After the announcement of a price hike by the Indo-Japanese carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Nissan India has announced to increase the prices of Nissan and Datsun products from April. The price hike will depend upon the model and variant. Commenting on the decision to hike the prices the sources of the company said that with the regular increase in the cost of components it has become necessary to hike the prices.
It is reported that the price hike will also affect the recent launch of the company Magnite. It would be for the third time that the company will increase the price of Magnite after its launch back in December 2020. In the beginning, the company had launched the Magnite with an introductory price for a limited period, after its price was hiked by Rs 50,000. After which the company hiked the prices of turbo variants up to Rs. 30,000 at the beginning of March 2021. The proposed price hike from April 1, 2020, will be applicable on all the trims of Magnite.
Under the hood, Magnite is available with two engine options including a 1.0-litre NA petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The naturally aspirated petrol generates the power of 72 bhp and the torque of 91Nm, while the turbo petrol engine boosts the power of 99 bhp and the torque of 160 Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by five-speed manual gear transmission duties and with an option of a CVT, automatic transmission system offered only on turbo variants.
It would be interesting to know that Magnite succeeded in receiving an encouraging response from the buyers and recorded bookings of more than 40,000 since its launch in December 2020. In some of the cities across the country, the waiting period extends from seven to eight months. According to the sources of the company, it has delivered more than 6,500 units of Magnite and trying to minimize its waiting period.
