Fiat Punto Evo to hit Indian shores by year end

Inspiring from the exponential growth in the Indian auto market, the Italian car manufacturer is planning big for this lucrative market. Fiat India is planning to launch its all new Fiat Punto Evo by the end of this year with the price tag to lie around Rs 6 lakh.

The speculations say that the new car model will come powered by a 1248cc Multijet diesel engine which will be able to smoke out a top power of 76 bhp and a beating torque of 197 Nm. These figures are a real smart deal in the Rs. 6 lakh car segment.

As for now the company is not expected to come with some major changes in terms of its engine technology but some commendable work will be seen in terms of the overall performance of the car. Fiat Punto Evo will be powered with a refined engine along with multi-air motors.

Among other changes, car will come with good cosmetic work which is a common trend in the Indian auto market when it comes to launch of new variants. The car will bear a distinct rear and front profile which is the result of expert cosmetic work. Coming to the interiors of this all new Fiat Punto Evo, it will come as a surprise package for the users with its high end technology and sophisticated designing.

The launch of the existing version, Fiat Punto, was made in the year 2009 and since then the car has proved itself as a competitive model in the segment. The major drawback of the company in Indian auto market is underdeveloped distribution network.
