Fiat Reveals Two New SUVs To Rival Hyundai Creta
Fiat has officially revealed the first images of its upcoming Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback SUVs. With these SUVs, the Italian carmaker is re-entering the highly competitive family SUV segment. The two new models will be available with multiple powertrain options, including petrol, hybrid, and fully electric options, to cater to the varying needs of customers.
Dimensionally, both vehicles measure under 4.5 metres in length and are designed to offer practicality, comfort, and versatility for modern families. The standard Grizzly adopts a traditional SUV profile focused on spaciousness and everyday usability, while the Grizzly Fastback features a sleeker, coupe-inspired design aimed at buyers seeking a more dynamic appearance.

The new SUVs are built on Stellantis’ Smart Car platform, which also supports several other models within the group. Fiat has confirmed that the platform will enable multiple propulsion technologies, ranging from conventional petrol engines to fully electric drivetrains. This flexibility is expected to help the brand meet varying customer demands across different markets.
Design-wise, the Grizzly range showcases Fiat’s latest styling direction with distinctive LED lighting signatures and a rugged SUV stance. The Fastback version adds a sportier character through its sloping roofline while retaining practical cargo capacity. Fiat is also emphasising interior space and boot capacity, making the vehicles suitable for family-oriented buyers.
According to Fiat, the Grizzly lineup has been developed to expand its affordable family vehicle portfolio. The company aims to offer vehicles that balance functionality, style, and accessibility while maintaining the brand’s recognisable design language.
The Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback are scheduled to enter markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa during the second half of 2026, with additional regional expansion plans under consideration. The launch forms part of Stellantis’ broader strategy to introduce numerous new and updated models across its brands over the coming years.
Industry analysts believe the new SUVs could strengthen Fiat’s presence in the growing family crossover segment, particularly as demand for both electric and fuel-powered vehicles continues to evolve globally.
