Ford Might Launch Refreshed Figo In CNG Variant
American car maker Ford is all set to launch the facelift version of its hatchback Figo by the end of this year in the Indian car market. The facelift version camouflaged Figo has been caught undergoing the test drives on several occasions, but this time it is for the first time that spies have captured the uncamouflaged unit of Figo being tested on the Indian roads and the surprising factor of this unit to witness is CNG sticker that is placed at rear windscreen of the hatchback. Going through this, it is believed that the US based car maker might also launch the CNG variant of facebook Figo, along with petrol and diesel variants.
Under the hood, facelift Figo is speculated to be offered with 1.2 litre petrol Dragon engine that is offered in Freestyle and generates the power of 95 bhp and the torque of 120 Nm. The diesel variant will be offered with 1.5 litre engine generating the power of 99 bhp and the torque of 215 Nm. If CNG variant is also offered along with both these engine configurations, the petrol engine might develop less power as endorsed, but will definitely deliver better fuel efficiency. The transmission duties would be performed by five-speed manual transmission duties along with an option of dual-clutch automatic. It is however rumoured that the carmaker might replace the option of the dual clutch automatic transmission system.
As far as looks of new Figo are concerned, it is believed to carry the same looks as offered in its version offered in the South African market. On the front fascia, it will receive newly developed honeycomb pattern front grille, new and stylish bumper along with fog lamps, new headlamps, and sleek central airdam. The side profile will receive new alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it will undergo changes like new dashboard, dash top infotainment system and many more.
