Hyundai Receives 1900 Bookings Online
Going through the restrictions on minimizing the presence of customers in the dealerships, the major car manufacturers are now concentrating on increasing sales through online portals. One such news is coming from the Indian arm of Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors. According to recent reports after introducing the Click to Buy Digital Platform for the new vehicles, the Hyundai Motors India Limited has received 20,000 vehicle inquiries and around 1,900 bookings for the new cars sold by the company. The Korean carmaker introduced the digital platform in March for boosting its sales during the global lockdown.

It would be interesting to know that with demand for the new cars declining due to the impact of a pandemic, not only the HCIL, carmakers like Mercedes-Benz, Honda, and others have now started selling their vehicles through their online portals. In a statement posted by the Hyundai Cars India Limited, “With Click To Buy, Hyundai is offering a complete end-to-end online car buying solution that enables customers to purchase cars from the convenience and safety of their homes. Hyundai has also partnered with leading Banks HDFC and ICICI, in India to facilitate the application of loans online without the need to visit the branch for approval."
Moving ahead, it is also stated in the statement posted by the HCIL, the introduction of Click to Buy Platform has emerged as a revolutionary step in the field of online retail sales and receiving an encouraging response from the buyers due to showcase of the vehicle from all the sides online.
Apart from Clock to Buy Digital Platform, the Korean carmaker has also launched the new transmission system named as intelligent manual transmission (iMT) in the compact SUV Venue. The new transmission system facilitates the drivers to not press the clutch pedal while changing the gears.
According to the sales statistics revealed by the company, it has recorded a huge decline of 49.2 % decline in the sales during June as compared to the sales of the same month last year.
