Hyundai Verna 2020 Launched With Excellent Features
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, Hyundai Motors India Limited has launched the facelift version of Verna sedan in the Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 9.30 lakh for the base variant and going high up to Rs. 15.10 lakh for the top-end variant. Both the prices are ex-showroom prices, New Delhi. In its new avatar, the Verna not only undergoes major cosmetic changes but also mechanical changes strictly according to the new BS-VI emission norms.
Underhood, it is offered with two engine options of a 1.5-liter petrol engine and a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The former generates the power of 115 PS and the norm of 144 Nm, while the latter produces the power of 120 PS and the torque of 172Nm. The diesel variant is empowered with a 1.5-liter diesel engine boosting the power of 115 PS and the torque of 250Nm. The transmission duties in 1.5-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine are performed by six-speed manual gear transmission and an option of CVT and six-speed torque converter respectively. The 1.0-liter turbocharged engine will be offered with a seven-speed DCT transmission system. The engines offered in regular petrol and diesel variants are outsourced from Kia Seltos and Creta, while the turbocharged petrol engine is occupied from Venue.
Speaking about the features, the exterior of Hyundai Verna 2020 is embellished with the new large front grille, revised headlamps, alloy wheels, taillamps, and new rear bumper. On the interior front, it has been upgraded with a new color scheme on upholstery, new air conditioner vents and dashboard with faux wood.
The other features offered inside the cabin include an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with the smartphone, wireless mobile phone charging, Arkamys audio system, instrument cluster, ventilated front seats and sunroof. The notable change introduced in the new Verna is the integration of the BlueLink connectivity suite that supports connectivity with 45 features.
On the safety front, it receives dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system, front seat belt reminders and rear parking sensors as standard features. The top-end trims are offered with additional safety features including reverse camera, six-airbags, electronic stability control and a few more. The turbocharged variant is offered with front parking sensors.
