Images Of Honda City 2023 Leaked Before Launch
The Japanese carmaker Honda City is all set to launch the 2023 City sedan soon in the Indian car market. Before that, some of its images landed on the internet giving a glimpse of its interior looks. From the images, it can be seen that the new generation of the premium sedan City will receive minimal cosmetic updates on the exterior front. This will include updated front and rear bumpers and a front grille. It is believed, that the top variants will receive a honeycomb grille and LED headlamps, whereas the entry-level and mid-priced variants will get vertical slats and projector headlamps. Along with this, the company might also offer a blue colour option in the existing colours.
Under the hood, the new City will continue with the same existing 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine boosting the power of 121 hp and the torque of 145 Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by a six-speed manual gear transmission system followed by an eCVT transmission system as an option. Going through the new Rear Driving Emission (RDE) norms, the company might phase out the diesel variant. But will continue to launch the hybrid variant compliant with RDE norms.
After its launch in the Indian car market, the City will go against the likes of Skoda Slavia, Maruti Suzuki Cias, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus. According to dealers, the new City will be priced almost one lakh rupees more expensive than its current version.
