Indian Auto Expo 2016: An Overview

The 13th edition of Indian Auto Expo is coming back and this time as earlier it is scheduled to be organized in the month of February between 5th and 9th February 2016 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida on the outskirts of New Delhi. The component show will be held from 4th to 7th February 2016 at Pragati Madian, New Delhi. Apart from this special sessions will be organized for press personals on February 3rd and 4th. It would be interested to know that this time it is speculated that the number of exhibitors will increase from 55 (of last Indian Auto Expo 2014) to 65. The major auto makers that are confirmed to mark their presence during the show will include Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Audi, Chevrolet, BMW and BMW Motorrad, Honda, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Ford, and other established names of auto industry across the world.

The new fleet of vehicles expected to be showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 which will be developed keeping in concern the requirements of generation next buyers will include Vitara Brezza and Ignis from MSIL, new Accord and Honda BR-V, facelift version Renault Duster, Generation next Toyota Innova and Fortuner, Passat, Beetle and Tiguan from Volkswagen, Nissan X-Trail, Mercedes Benz GLC and GLS, new 7 series, 3 series and X1 from BMW, A4 and R8 from Audi, Chevrolet Spin, XE and F-Pace from Jaguar and others.

The bookings of ticket have been already commenced by organizers through websites Auto Expo and BookMyShow. The cost of ticket on regular working days for public would be Rs. 300 whereas during weekends it will cost Rs. 400 during regular hours. During business hours the cost of ticket during weekdays would be Rs. 650. These timings have been divided into three categories which will include 1PM to 6 PM would be public hours on weekdays, business hours during the same days would be from 10 AM to 1 PM, whereas during weekend the timings of public hours will be from 10 A.M to 7 P.M.

It would be interested to know that time learning from experience of last Indian Auto Expo 2014 which suffered from absence of permanent display venue. This time two separate permanent halls have been developed along with 8 more permanent halls. Apart from this the show will be organised in the total area of 79,000 sq.m. which will be fully air conditioned. With this proper attention has been paid towards security arrangements. The whole area will  be under the coverage of CISF, local police and private security guards. Besides this the whole venue will be under the inspection of third eye comprising 180 CCTV cameras which will be operations 24x7. With this placement of sniffer dogs and vehicle scanners will further enhance the security arrangements.
