Indian Auto Expo 2016: Ends with a promise to return back with new attractions

The 13th edition of Indian Auto Expo 2016 successfully ended with an encouraging response from all segments of industry mavens and car enthusiasts across the world. Organized under the flagship of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

The show was inaugurated by Honorable Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, GOI and Honorable Mr. Anant Geete, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, GOI, by lightening the inaugural lamp on February 4, 2016. The Auto Expo witnessed presence of more than 6 lakh visitors viewing new initiatives developed by 65 vehicle manufacturers across the world. Alike erstwhile editions this show was also organized in two parts (1) The component show and (2) The Motor show organized from 4-7 February 2016 and 5-9 February 2016 respectively.

The first day of Auto Expo 2016 witnessed unveiling of  some highly awaited cars like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Tucson SUV, Honda Navi hybrid two-wheeler, Jaguar XE, Tata Kite 5 compact sedan, Tata Hexon , Renault Kwid 1.0-litre, Honda BR-V, Toyota Innova Crysta and Audi R8 V10. The second day became an evidence of showcasing models like Mahindra XUV Aero coupe SUV, Fiat's new Linea 125S, Punto Pure, Avventura Urban Cross, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS, Volkswagen Polo GTI and Renault Duster facelift.
 
Addressing the closing ceremony of 13th Indian Auto Expo 2016 Mr.Vishnu Mathur, Director General, SIAM said, "With over 108 new products being launched and unveiled and over 6,01,914 footfalls received over the last one week, we believe this Expo will strengthen the belief of our manufacturers in the Indian automotive industry." It would be interested to know that Auto Expo 2016 not only witnessed the presence from masses but also succeeded from fascinating the celebrities from glamour and sports world. The show became evident of presence made by Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Taapsee Pannu, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar, John Abrahim and Manoj Bajpayee. From the sports world legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Piyush Chawla, Zaheer Khan, Mohinder Amarnath and Louis Saha.
