Kia Seltos Emerges As The New Leader In Segment
Surprisingly, despite being launched just at the end of the month the Seltos compact SUV by the new entrance Kia from Korea, has emerged as the best selling vehicle in the segment during the month of August 2019. According to sales statistics revealed by the company for the month of August, it has sold out 6,200 units of the Seltos, thus emerging as the new leader in the segment. The Korean car maker had launched the compact SUV in the Indian car market on August 22, 2019.
It would be interesting to know that the company had received more than 32,000 bookings quite early before its launch and records the waiting period ranging from two to three months. The production unit of the company has an efficiency of 3 lakh units per month, but it is not using its full production potential and is stagnated to only 5,000 units monthly. In India, Kia Seltos receives tough competition from Renault Capture, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Jeep Compass.
The spacious cabin offers a plethora of comfort features that are not offered by the others in the segment. Some of the comfortable features offered inside the cabin include air purifier, six dual colored themes, ventilated seats, eco coating to absorb odors, mood lighting with 8 mono colors. Other features include the bundle of connected car technologies that supports connectivity with navigation, safety, security followed by AI powered voice recognition system controlling the phone car, climate control, maps and others.
On the exterior front it receives aggressive look in the form of up-head black garnished grille with chrome accents, LED headlamps with DRLs, raised window line, dual tone roof, proportional tail lamps, 17 inch machine cut alloy wheels, and silver roof rails, silver skid plates, and many more.
