Mahindra Reva NXR will be your mini power plant

God said, let there be light and there was light. A similar attempt is being made by Indian SUV maker Mahindra as well. Mahindra is going to change the way people move in India and specially when the diesel prices have gone up by Rs 5 per litre and petrol prices are already on the top floor. The Mahindra Reva NXR launch which is nearby is a strong indication that India should seek alternates of petrol or diesel. Where the Reva NXR will give freedom from the ups and down of fuel prices, it is said that the car could also power homes when there is no electricity. Though at the research and testing phase, if this feature is added to Reva, people will not need the inverters or generators to power their homes. Meanwhile, the Reva NXR will be a power source for people who love excursions. Plug in and whoa! the house gets power supply.

In addition to this capability, the new Reva which is christened as Reva NXR has more to offer. The car can attain a top speed of 105 kmph and it can go to 160 kms in a single charge. The charging time is also less than the existing generation Reva-i. In addition to this, the batteries used are long life and are pollution free. Thus, the car is in itself becomes a green car in toto. Most importantly, the Reva uses plastics and other material that is highly environment friendly.

Furthermore, Mahindra also plans to equip the car with solar panels to store the energy from sunlight into the batteries. This way the Reva NXR will be a car that will be charged automatically and will need no charging with electricity. And now when Mahindra plans to make it a small power plant, buying Reva NXR means one is buying his own power station and this will help cut electricity bills drastically.
