Mahindra Scorpio 2021 Caught Under Lens With New Features
The domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra was supposed to begin its journey for 2021 by launching the generation of its bestselling SUVs XUV500 and Scorpio in January and February respectively. Unfortunately, due to a lack of semi-contactors and a few components, the launch of both vehicles has been delayed. Interestingly, ahead of its launch the spies once again have captured the 2021 Scorpio undergoing the test drive.

According to the reports revealed by spies, the 2021 Scorpio featured the set of new 17-inch alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, C-shaped LED DRLs, signature multi slated front grille, wide air dam, and dual pod projector headlamps. It is also reported to receive the shark fin antenna, new LED taillamps, high-mounted stop lamps, rear spoiler, and many more. The exteriors of the new Scorpio looks identical to the next generation of Thar SUV, while its interior carries look similar to the MPV Marazzo.
Mechanically it will be equipped with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and also a new 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine. The transmission duties are reported to be offered with an option of a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission system. There will be two driving options including the 4x2, and 4x4 AWD option. The reports also suggest that in its new avatar, the Scorpio will be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system reported to be the largest in the segment, a multi-functional steering wheel, a new instrument console, and a sunroof. It is speculated to also be equipped with a cruise control system, leather upholstery, wireless charging system, etc.
