Maruti contemplates faction to Gurgaon, due to inflexible Strike
As the strike at the Manesar plant unwaveringly moves on, a large threat of shortage in the production of cars and subsequently, the breakdown to deliver cars in time is intimidating on the oldest and largest auto manufacturer in the NCR, Maruti Suzuki. This strike has shortened production of 11,400 cars by Wednesday, at the cost of 570 crores, accordingly Maruti prepares to manufacture Maruti Swift Dzire and Maruti SX4 models from its Gurgaon plant. The production of these 2 models, Maruti Swift and Maruti Dzire had been shifted to Manesar plant by Maruti in 2009 from its old hub of Gurgaon.
According to two top officials of Maruti, if the strike prolongs for a longer phase, then as a back-up plan, the company is looking in the matter of renewing manufacture lines of its new products at the Gurgaon factory. On Wednesday, the converse between the workers and the Management botched, giving clear indication of an extended strike. This made the company do volte-face its production stratagem. The company apprehended that there should constantly be a back-up bargain in such critical situations. Earlier the company was producing only Maruti Swift from the Gurgaon plant. But now as the circumstances have worsened, the plan to convey back some of the other cars as well, is being contemplated of Maruti’s Indian operations forms 50% of its Japanese parent Suzuki’s global operations. To avoid any further jeopardy and catastrophe in its production and delivery, Maruti’s Marketing and Production teams are conferring substitute tactics.
Some of the popular hatchback models in the Indian auto market are Ford Figo, Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo. Apart from these popular models, cars going to hit the Indian roads this year are Toyota Etios Liva, Maruti Cervo and New Ford Fiesta.
