Maruti Suzuki Ignis: Features leaked before launch
With an objective to dominate Indian car market by introducing new vehicles at regular intervals country’s leading car manufacturer MSIL is all set to bring its new compact SUV christened as Ignis sometimes during next year. According to reports Indo-Japanese car maker is speculating to showcase the same during upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016. But as the product is being introduced by renowned car maker it is impossible that it does not grab attention of car enthusiasts across the world, and Ignis is not an exception to it.
Since the car maker had announced that it will bring a new compact SUV in market industry mavens started making speculations about it. According to recent rumors the new compact SUV will be launched in diesel variant which will be energized with 1.2 litre three cylinder diesel engine which will boost the power of 100 bhp. It is reported that this engine is same as offered in diesel variant of Celerio hatchback. The compact SUV was showcased during the 44th Tokyo Motor Show. It will have length of 3,700 mm, width of 1,660mm and height of 1,595 mm. Once launched in Indian car market Ignis will compete against recently launched KWID from Renualt and upcoming Mahindra S101.
It is reported that MSIL will sale Ignis through its new chain of dealership Nexa throughout the country. Reports also reveal that 95% of Ignis will manufactured in country. It is expected to be priced in range of Rs. 4.8 lakh to Rs. 6.8 lakh.
