Maruti Suzuki Ignis to exhibit its charm during festive season of 2016
With an objective to retain its top position in Indian car market Japanese car maker Suzuki Motors has planned an aggressive strategy under which it will be launching all International products from its portfolio also in Indian car market. The first product of this series to debut in Indian car market would a compact crossover codenamed as Ignis.
It is rumoured that country’s premium car manufacturer and Indian arm of Japanese car maker MSIL is planning to launch Ignis compact crossover in Indian Car Market next year during the festive season. Earlier it was reported that Indo-Japanese car maker will launch Ignis sometimes in 2017. Production model for the same was earlier showcased by the Japanese car maker Suzuki in the world premiere at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. In India car is expected to make its debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.
The crossover will be available with two engine options i.e. 1.3-liter MJD diesel and 1.2-liter K-Series petrol with SHVS technology are paired with five-speed manual and automated manual transmission respectively. The upcoming car from Japanese automaker measures 3,679mm in length, 1,579mm in width and 1,478mm in height, and has a larger wheelbase of 2,438mm. Once launch in India, it will be competing against the likes of Mahindra XUV100 and Datsun Go-Cross.
