Mercedes-Benz C-Class To Launch In May, Rolled Out From Plant
The German carmaker Mercedes-Benz will launch the 2022 C-Claas sedan in the Indian car market on May 10, 2022. According to company sources, it has rolled out the ready version of this luxurious sedan to its dealerships across the country. The company has already commenced the bookings of C-Class for its existing customers and commence the bookings for prospective buyers from May 1, 2022.
The company had revealed the updated C-Class in the international market last year. The new C-Class is developed on the company’s family design philosophy. It will bridge the gap between the E-Class and the smaller sedan like A-Class Limousine and the CLA. In its new avatar, the C-Class is larger than its existing version. With an increased wheelbase by 25mm, it offers more space inside the cabin for passengers.
Under the hood, it will be offered with three engine options including the C 200 petrol, and the C 220d and C 300d in diesel variants. Grapevine is that these three engines will use 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines. The petrol variant might also be available in a mild-hybrid version. The transmission duties will be performed by an automatic gear system, as a standard feature.
Speaking about features, the company has disclosed any information regarding this. However, according to its official Indian website, it will receive the MBUX system and Mercedes's Digital headlights. Inside the cabin, it will receive features inspired by the new S-Class slated for launch in India. That means its top-end variants will receive an 11.9-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The lower variants are expected to receive a smaller 10.25-inch instrument display and a 9.5-inch touchscreen.
