M&M And Statiq To Forge EV Charing Network
The homegrown EV charging network developer Statiq and the domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra have joined hands to strengthen the EV charging infrastructure in the country. According to reports, both groups will work together to improve the EV charging infrastructure and work on multiple e-mobility technologies in future. The main objective of this collaboration is to let the users of electric vehicles enjoy an instant, reliable and cost-effective EV network throughout the country. As stated by a joint statement issued by both companies.
In the words of Akshit Bansal, Co-founder and CEO, of Statiq, "We are delighted to partner with M&M as we share the aim to offer 4-wheeler EV charging solutions across the country at a time of them launching their electric XUV400. Statiq has always been about promoting carbon-free mobility in India through providing an expansive charging network, and this alliance will strengthen our mission to advance the growth of the EV ecosystem further”.
Commenting on this, Veejay Nakra, Presiden, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “Our partnership with Statiq will ensure robust EV infrastructure solutions for all our customers, in the most seamless manner”.
Before collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra, Statiq had joined hands with the India-based EV start-up Ather Energy to develop the electric vehicle infrastructure in the northern parts of the country, focussing mainly on the NCR region. Located in Gurugram, Statiq was founded by Akshit Bansal and Raghav Arora in 2019. This group aims to offer end-to-end solutions for issues related to electric vehicle charging stations. Till now the group has established more than 6500 charging stations in the entire country.
