New Skoda Superb images swarm on the web

First it was the Skoda Octavia images that had almost flooded the car industry with anticipation and now it is the 2014 Skoda Superb car images. It is just before the commencement of the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, Skoda has released the images of the 2014 Skoda Superb facelift. This renowned Czech car maker is all set to introduce this car in the India by the year end. This car has been revamped to a great extent while the work is in progress related to the new Superb. The 2014 Superb is displaying complete new front end along with featuring a facelift that is being extended to the car’s A-pillar. Car has got bi-xenon headlamps, a brand new front bumper, a new bonnet and a new logo.

The car has also got a new grille that is akin to Skoda’s new design language. The alloy wheels have also been revamped. Car’s rear side has been given a facelift by integrating revamped LED tail lamps and triangular elements on the boot lid. The prominent changes include the integration of brake energy regeneration and start-stop. These features will enhance the fuel-efficient capabilities of the car. In addition to this, the car preserves the same engine options - 1.4 Liter TSI and 1.8 Liter TSI petrol engines, 2 Liter TDI turbo diesel engine. Alike its present generation car, the new Superb will also be available in 6 speed manual and 6 speed DSG automatic variants.

Major changes on the new Superb include an all new revamped steering wheel that has an option of three or four spokes, the seats have got a new fabric that enhances the luxury appeal of the car, electronic control of the front passenger seat besides an all new infotainment system that has an internal storage capacity of 30 GB. As far as the price of the car is concerned it is expected to be higher than the present generation as the duties on luxury cars in India has been increased.
