Nissan selects eighteen student brand managers 2011
Nissan motors private limited has reportedly selected 18 youngsters from all across the country as Nissan student brand managers. The program launched by Nissan called the Nissan brand managers program managed to achieve about 2843 registrations from students of 450 different colleges in 15 different cities of India showing the popularity of the brand and their unique idea to promote the brand in the country.
The registrations that began on 30th May 2011 saw a huge amount of crowd registering for the Nissan Student Brand Managers Program (NSBM) especially in the four centres namely New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore saw the largest number of applicants that registered for the program.
The program has selected brand managers from various top management colleges like IIM - Ahmedabad, IIM - Kolkata, IIFT - Delhi, Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WE School), K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, etc.
Nissan has also managed to tie up with Bloomberg UTV who are responsible for bringing in the jury for the NSBM 2011. the Jury was made of prominent personalities in the field. The selection of these students was purely based on their personality, communication skills, their interest towards the project and their presentation skills.
These 18 selected students will now play the role of bringing the company closer to the student section and the local crowd in the country through their specialized marketing techniques. After the selection programs the students will undergo training where they will learn how to work for the company’s officials and also apart from the selection the program will also be seeing a telecast which will have 5:30 minute episodes telecasted on Bloomberg UTV.
