Nissan Unveils PIXO EV, Will Offer Range Of 259 Km

Nissan has unveiled the all-new PIXO, a compact electric city car designed specifically for urban driving in Europe. The new EV expands Nissan’s electric vehicle lineup and combines a small footprint with modern technology, connected features and practical interior space. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2027, while pricing and market-specific details are expected to be announced from December 2026.

Nissan PIXO EV: Battery and Range

The Nissan PIXO is powered by a 27.5 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery. According to Nissan, the electric city car can deliver a range of up to 259 km under the WLTP testing cycle. The EV supports 50kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 15 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes. It also gets an 11kW AC charger for convenient charging at home or the workplace. The electric motor produces 60kW of maximum power.

Compact Dimensions for City Driving

The PIXO has been developed with European urban environments in mind. It measures 3,796 mm in length and 1,790 mm in width, while its 9.9-metre turning circle is designed to make manoeuvring easier in crowded city streets and parking areas. Despite its compact dimensions, the car offers flexible interior space. It gets four seats and independently sliding rear seats, allowing occupants to prioritise either passenger comfort or luggage space. The boot offers 356 litres of capacity with the rear seats in place, which can increase to 1,221 litres when the rear seats are folded.

Nissan PIXO Features

The new Nissan PIXO comes equipped with several technology and convenience features. These include a 7-inch digital driver display and a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen. One of the key highlights is Google built-in connectivity, which includes navigation and Google’s Gemini AI assistant. Gemini can support voice-based functions related to navigation, entertainment and communication, with support for 16 languages and dialects at launch.

Other features include Face ID for personalised driver settings, adaptive cruise control, Lane Departure Warning, hands-free parking and Nissan’s e-Pedal technology. The car also gets LED lighting and connected functions through the MyNissan app.

When Will Nissan PIXO Launch?

Nissan has confirmed that customer deliveries of the PIXO are scheduled to begin in early 2027 in Europe. The company is expected to announce pricing, market-specific specifications and pre-order information from December 2026. The PIXO has been designed by Nissan and will be manufactured by Renault at its Novo Mesto facility in Slovenia. The model has been developed through a partnership between Nissan and Renault as part of their broader collaboration.

Will Nissan PIXO Come to India?

Nissan has currently positioned the PIXO specifically for European cities and has not announced an India launch. Therefore, there is no official confirmation about its arrival in the Indian market at present. If Nissan decides to expand the model to other markets in the future, further details are expected to be announced by the company. For now, the European market remains the primary focus for the new electric city car.
