One more variant added in family of Hyundai Verna Fluidic
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) has introduced one more variant in its sedan Verna Fluidic with price tag of Rs. 7.17 lakh (ex-showroom price). The newly introduced variant has been codenamed as GL variant and has been introduced in both petrol and diesel disguises. The petrol version of Hyundai Verna GL is blessed with 1.4 litre VTVT engine while the diesel is adorned with 1.4 litre CRDi engine.
The petrol version of GL variant generates the power of 105 bhp and torque of 138 Nm, whereas the diesel engine churns the power of 89 bhp and torque of 224 Nm. The former is coated with five speed manual gearbox while the later is covered with six speed manual gearbox. Apart from offering regular features in GL variant company has added additional features like keyless entry and 2 DIN Audio system.
It would be interested to learn that with introduction of GL variant in fleet of Hyundai Verna Fluidic, company has discontinued the base variant in both models. Besides this company has also discontinued 4 more variants two from each model. The variants discontinued in petrol variant are SX(O) and EX, while the variants discontinued in diesel model are SX(O) AT and EX.
