Paris Motor Show 2014: Generation next Skoda Fabia revealed
Czech car maker Skoda has officially revealed the generation next Fabia hatchback during the ongoing Paris Motor Show 2014, which is an indication that the car maker is all set to launch the car sometimes during 2015. According to industry sources the new Fabia has carried most of its designing pattern from its erstwhile version followed by additional width of 90mm resulting in making its interiors more spacious as compared to existing version of Fabia. Commenting on the design of new Fabia Mr. Marko Jevtic, Senior Exterior Designer of the hatchback said that the upcoming version of Fabia carries most of its cues from its predecessor which is because the company wanted to retain simplicity in the looks of hatchback without enhancing much pressure on its design. However according to industry experts the version of Fabia showcased during the show resembles mostly to the original version of Fabia. Commenting on this Mr. Jevtic said as both the models constitute the part of same family there are chances of carrying little bit resemblance between both these versions. However company has endeavored to give new Fabia completely a new look.
As far as technical features of new Fabia are concerned the base variant would be named as “S” it would be empowered with 1.0 litre petrol and 1.4 litre TDI boosting the power of 59 bhp and 89 bhp respectively. It will bestow some standard features like Bluetooth, DAB, electronic front windows and six airbags. The SE variant would be energized with advanced 1.0 litre petrol engine developing the power of 74bhp, followed by another option of 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine with two power tunes of 89bhp and 109 bhp. It would be also offered in diesel variant which would be empowered with 1.4 litre TDI engine boosting the power of 89 bhp. The Elegance trim of the hatchback would be equipped with 1.4 litre TDI engine generating the power of 104 bhp.
The new Fabia is expected to be offered with wide range of color options followed by facility of personalizing the hatchback according to requirements of buyers. With all these features car maker speculates to lure more buyers towards this new avatar of Fabia.
