Six Seater Maruti Ertiga To Be Named As Maruti Suzuki Ertiga XL6
The upcoming six-seater Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV by the country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has been in the lime-light during the last few months. Now according to recent reports the Indo-Japanese car maker is all set to launch it in the Indian car market and has got its name patented as Ertiga XL6. It will be sold through NEXA showrooms across the country and receives captain seats for the second row passengers, whereas the seats for third passengers remain same as the existing version of Ertiga.
Under the hood, the Ertiga XL6 will be offered with the same 1.5 litre K15B, SHVS, 4 cylinder petrol engine. It will be the first BS VI compliant engine by the MSIL, which will generate the power of 104.7 PS and the torque of 138Nm. The transmission duties are expected to be performed by five speed manual gear transmission system followed by an option of four speed automatic transmission system. As far as the option of a diesel engine is concerned nothing has been so far revealed by the car maker.
Speaking about the use of XL nameplate, the company has used the logo earlier at the time it launched the Grand Vitara Brezza with an extra 18 inch length than the regular Grand Vitara. However, it is not yet clear that whether the Ertiga XL6 will be longer than the existing standard Ertiga or not. On the basis of the images leaked in the cyber world, on the exterior front it receives black body cladding, fifteen inch alloy wheels with black color treatment, large front grille, enlarge headlamps and new bumpers at both the ends. It also receives improved road clearance and new faux skid plate.
Inside the cabin it will receive black color treatment, new upholstery with XL6 logos, infotainment system similar to existing Ertiga supporting connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and few more features to make it look different from the standard Ertiga.
