Skoda reveals the details of Vision S SUV before Geneva Motor Show 2016
Skoda, the Czech car maker has revealed the details and pictures of its upcoming Vision S SUV quite early before Geneva Motor Show 2016. Developed on Volkswagen’s Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform the proposed SUV from car maker is the first product which will be embellished with six seats divided into three rows. The design of Vision S SUV is inspired from Bohemian crystal art and Czech cubism. The overall appearance of vehicle resembles to existing cars manufactured by Skoda. Earlier the SUV was reported to be showcased during Geneva Motor Show 2016 and is advanced version of Vision C concept displayed during Geneva Motor Show held two years back. The vehicle will be showcased during the upcoming Geneva Motor Show scheduled to held from March 3, 2016 to march 13, 2016 in Geneva.
The SUV will be offered with plug in hybrid technology and will comprise of 1.4 litre TSI engine boosting the power of 154 bhp and torque of 250Nm. It will also sport an electronic motor churning the power of 53 bhp and torque of 220Nm. The engine is mated with six speed DSG transmission system that transits power to front wheels. It is said to reach the mark of 100 kmph from stand still in the span of 7.4 seconds and top notch of 200 kmph. It measures the length of 4,700mm, height of 1,680mm and wheelbase of 2,790mm. According to reports it will be placed above Yeti SUV.
The Vision S will be first complete SUV by Czech car maker and is reported to be named as Skoda Kodiak and is said to be launched during the Paris Motor Show 2016 to be held in October.
