Skoda Reveals the Image of Octavia Limited Black Edition
Skoda India, the Indian arm of Czech car maker Skoda has released an image of Limited Black Edition of its saloon sedan Octavia, which is slated to launch sometimes during the next week in the Indian car market. The Skoda Octavia Limited Back Edition will be offered in the top end variant of existing model and will be priced between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 higher than the existing price of Rs. 23,10, 127 (ex-showroom, price Delhi) for the top end variant. The Limited Black Edition as the name suggests will bestow integration of black element on alloy wheels, black ORVMs and black spoiler. Along with these changes the Octavia will also receive some subtle changes on the exterior to make it more aesthetic. Inside the cabin it will receive contrast stitching and few more changes that will enhance its appearance from inside.
Turning towards mechanical changes the Limited Black Edition Octavia will continue with existing engine options of 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine generating the power of 138 bhp and torque of 2015 Nm. The diesel variant is energized with 2.0 litre TDI engine that is capable of producing 141 bhp and torque of 320Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by six speed manual gearbox and also with an option of seven speed DSG automatic transmission system.
Recently the Czech car maker had revealed the facelift version of Skoda Octavia as Skoda Octavia vRS 245 for European car market. The same version is reported to make its Indian debut sometimes later this month. Since its launch in Indian car market the sedan has been one of the best products offered by the car maker but during the financial year 2016-17, company had sold out 1,941 units till the month of January this year, recording the decline of about 11% as compared to last financial year 2015-16 during which it recorded the sales of 2,174 during the same period.
