Maruti Suzuki has launched its new Smart Maintenance Plan (SMP), to help customers by removing the burden of expensive servicing costs. Under the plan, the customers are offered the facility to avail prepaid maintenance programme to enjoy a more convenient ownership experience. The plan is available for both private and commercial vehicle owners across India. The Smart Maintenance Plan allows customers to choose maintenance packages based on their specific requirements. Available options include labour-only coverage, parts and labour packages, commercial vehicle service plans, customer-demanded services, and coverage for engine oil and coolant replacements. Customers can also opt for additional wear-and-tear protection for components such as clutch and brake parts.

 

 

One of the major benefits of SMP is cost savings. Maruti Suzuki states that customers can save at least 10% on labour charges, with additional savings on parts and consumables. The prepaid nature of the plan also helps owners protect themselves from future increases in service costs, making long-term vehicle maintenance more predictable and affordable. The company offers multiple tenure and mileage options under the program. Private vehicle owners can choose plans ranging from 2 years/20,000 km to as much as 10 years/100,000 km. Commercial vehicle owners can avail coverage of up to 10 years or 160,000 km, depending on the selected package.

 

Another notable advantage of the Smart Maintenance Plan is its nationwide applicability. Customers can avail covered services at any authorised Maruti Suzuki workshop across the country, regardless of where the plan was purchased. This flexibility ensures greater convenience for owners who frequently travel or relocate. According to Maruti Suzuki, the new offering has been introduced to meet evolving customer expectations for flexible and personalised vehicle ownership solutions. By locking in maintenance costs and ensuring timely servicing, the company aims to provide greater peace of mind and long-term value to its customers.
