Tata Motors October sales register 6 per cent growth
Indian Multinational Tata Group’s automotive wing, Tata Motors has registered a growth of 6 percent in the lately concluded October month. The total tally of sold vehicles reached to 71771 units. Last month the company recorded sales of 68145 units in the national market an increase of 6.74 percent compared to 63837 units in 2011 in the month of October. As per the firm, the exports saw a dip of 13 percent as it made sales of only 3626 units this October against 4171 units in the same period last year.

In the passenger vehicle segment company acquired sales of 21119 units, which is a down of 15.94 percent, as in 2011 it sold 25124 units. The good part here is in the form of Tata Nano that saw an upward growth of 3.51 percent as it went on to make sales of 4004 units in the month of October 2012 against only 3868 units last year in the similar month i.e. October.The passenger utility segment that comprise of Tata Safari, Tata Aria and Tata Sumo saw an upward trend with 12 percent growth as 4675 units were sold in comparison to 4176 units last year in October.

The Tata Indica category reported a drop of massive 38.1 percent with sales of mere 6692 units this year in October against sales of 10812 units last year in the same time. The sedan Indigo range made good sales of 6268 units last October, but this year the sales were dropped to 8 percent as October 2012 was able to sell only 5748 units.The sales of commercial vehicle array brought joy with an ascend of good 21percent in the domestic market as it sold 47026 units in recently ended October month against 38713 units in the same month last year i.e. October 2011.
