tata Nexon AMT In The Pipeline Of Tata Motors
According to recent reports flying high on the success enjoyed by the Nexon SUV domestic car maker is working on bringing its AMT variant soon in the Indian car market. Recently the prototype of the same was caught going under test drives on the roads. In the words of Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marking (Passenger Vehicle Business) Tata Motors, company its planning to launch the AMT variant across the entire range of Nexo in both the petrol and diesel variants. Along with this it is also reported that proposed XZA variant will be offered with the new color treatment codenamed as “Mari G old”.
With this new color scheme there will be overall six color option among the buyer including the existing Vermont red, Calgary white, Moroccan blue, Glasgow grey and Seattle silver. Under the hood the AMT variable in both the petrol and diesel trims will be offered with existing configurations of 1.2 litre turocharged Revotron petrol and 1.5 litre diesel Revotorq engines mated with six speed AMT transmission system. The petrol variant generates the power of 108.5 bhp and torque of 170Nm while the diesel develops the power of 108.5 bhp and torque of 260Nm. The AMT variant is believed to be make its debut during the Indian Auto Expo 2018.
The AMT to be introduced in Nexon is the same as offered in Tiago, Zest, Nano and Tigor cars. The only difference is that these cars are equipped with five speed AMT transmission system while Nexon will be offered with six speed AMT transmission system. The AMT Nexon will be offered multi drive options including Eco, City and Sport.
