Tata Punch Facelift: New Design, Features and Turbo Engine
Indian carmaker Tata Motors has officially launched the Punch facelift in the Indian market. The price of new Punch starts from Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated micro-SUV receives noticeable exterior and interior upgrades, new technical features, and an expanded engine line-up. However, it continues to come with the strengths that made the Punch a popular choice among buyers.
Updated Exterior Design
The Tata Punch facelift receives completely redesigned front fascia. The headlamps have been repositioned and placed differently, giving the SUV a sharper and more modern appearance. While the side profile remains largely unchanged, Tata has introduced new alloy wheel designs to refresh the look. At the rear, the changes are more prominent. The facelifted Punch gets new tail lamps connected by a full-width LED light bar, along with a redesigned rear bumper, completing the exterior updates.
Revised Cabin and Added Features
Inside, the Punch facelift borrows its dashboard layout from the Punch EV, offering a more contemporary and premium feel. The cabin continues with a black-and-white colour theme, while redesigned air vents add to the cleaner design.

A major highlight is the new 10.25-inch touchscreen, replacing the earlier 7-inch unit. The facelift also introduces a two-spoke steering wheel and a 360-degree camera system for 2026.
Engine Options and Performance
Mechanically, the standard Punch facelift continues with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 88 hp and 115 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. New to the line-up is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering 118 hp and 170 Nm of torque. The turbo variants, branded as iTurbo, are priced from Rs8.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Punch facelift retains its 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating and continues to offer the AMT CNG variant, making it India’s first SUV with an AMT-equipped CNG option.
Variants and Pricing
The 2026 Tata Punch facelift is available in eight variants. Prices for the base non-turbo petrol manual variant start at Rs5.59 lakh (ex-showroom) as an introductory offer, which will be revised later. The Adventure variant serves as the entry point for the turbo-petrol range, starting at Rs8.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
