Tata Sierra EV Launched; Offers Up to 665km Range
After successful launch of Sierra SUV in the Indian car market, the domestic carmaker Tata Motors has officially launched the much-awaited Sierra EV with an introductory starting price of Rs18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Sierra EV combines modern technology, premium features, and impressive driving range to strengthen the company's electric vehicle portfolio.
The Sierra EV is available with two battery pack choices, allowing buyers to select a version that best suits their driving requirements. The larger battery variant delivers a claimed driving range of up to 665km on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range electric SUVs currently available in the Indian market. Tata has also introduced an optional all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration, offering enhanced traction and performance across different driving conditions.
Built on Tata's advanced Acti.ev platform, the Sierra EV retains the distinctive styling that made the original Sierra popular while incorporating several modern design elements. The SUV features a bold front fascia, connected LED lighting, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and signature EV-specific styling cues that give it a futuristic appearance without losing its heritage-inspired identity.
Inside the cabin, the Sierra EV offers a premium experience with a technology-rich dashboard, spacious seating, and multiple comfort features. The SUV is equipped with a triple-screen layout, connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), premium audio system, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a host of convenience features designed for modern buyers.
Performance is another highlight of the Sierra EV. Along with fast charging support, the SUV promises strong acceleration and refined driving dynamics. Higher variants equipped with the AWD setup also receive terrain modes, off-road assistance features, and a 540-degree camera system, making the vehicle suitable for both urban commuting and adventure driving.
Adding further value for customers, Tata Motors is offering a lifetime battery warranty on the Sierra EV, reinforcing confidence in the vehicle's long-term ownership experience. The company has also announced that bookings are now open, while customer deliveries are expected to commence in mid-July.
