Tata Tiago Electric Adds A Jewel In Its Crown
Tata Motors, the domestic car manufacturer, has achieved a new milestone by delivering 10,000 units of Tiago EV in less than four months. The all-electric hatch also became the 'Fastest Booked EV in India', receiving 20,000 bookings by December last year.
As per the details shared by the company, the Tata Tiago EV has travelled a total of 11.2 million km to 491 cities, preventing the emission of 1.6 million grams of CO2 into the environment. The company aims to democratise the EV driving experience and expand the search for safe, clean, and green mobility.
The Tata Tiago EV is not only a market disruptor with premium-ness, safety, and technological features but also an environmentally sustainable footprint. It offers consumers a superior driving experience, said the company in an official statement.
Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy head, Vivek Srivatsa said that Tiago EV was launched to democratise the EV experience. The company's ambition was to fast forward the ongoing evolution towards the future of mobility by introducing a car that would encourage the rapid adoption of EVs.
The Tata Tiago EV has been launched with a starting price of Rs. 8.69 lakh and goes up to Rs. 12.04 lakh (ex-showroom) for top models. It comes with 3 battery-motor configurations, including a 19.2kWh battery pack with 3.3kW AC charging, a 24kWh battery pack with 3.3kW AC charging, and a 24kWh of battery pack, with 7.2kW AC charging.
With the success of Tata Tiago EV, the company is set to take a leading position in the Indian EV market and encourage the adoption of EVs among consumers.
