Volkswagen to Upgrade Polo with ABS as Standard Feature
Polo hatchback has been one of the best selling products by German car maker Volkswagen. Now according to recent reports the car maker is going to upgrade the hatchback with anti-lock b raking system as standard feature throughout its all version. At present the ABS feature is offered only in Comfortline and Highline variants. It is reported that the Volkswagen Polo equipped with ABS will soon hit the showrooms. Grapevine is that company might also introduce the same feature as standard feature across all the trims of Vento sedan. Once the ABS is introduced in both these cars by car maker, then after Japanese carmaker Toyota Motors Volkswagen would be second carmaker in country to offer this feature as standard feature throughout its portfolio. It is believed that car maker is taking this step to follow-up the safety norms that will be affected in country from 2018.
Recently the line-up of Polo hatchback was extended by company by launching the Polo GTI in Indian car market priced Rs. 25.65 (ex-showroom price, Thane). The three door hatchback Polo GTI is empowered with 1.8 litre four cylinder TSI petrol engine that generates the power of 189 bhp and mated with seven speed DSG gearbox. With top speed of 233 kmph the hatchback touches the mark of 100 km/h in the span of 7.2 seconds.
Other feature offered in Polo GTI launched recently includes new bumpers, LED headlamps, dual exhaust pipes, 17 inch wheels and integrated spoiler followed by red FRI accents and GTI badges have potential to grab attention of commuters with slightly changed headlights.
