Waiting period for Renault Kwid extends above ten months
Renault Kwid, the hatchback from French car maker Renault succeeded in grabbing the attention of Indian buyers because of its competitive price and exquisite features offered in it. The success of Kwid can be witnessed from the number of bookings it has received since its launch on September 24, 2015. According to reports the bookings of this SUV looking hatchback has crossed the waiting period above ten months. The increasing demand for Kwid where at one side has given the reason of smile to makers on the other side has also raised lines of tension on their faces, as now they will have to increase the production of Kwid to cater its demand.
It would be important to mention that at present company not only has to cater the demand but it also has to face the impacts of severe rain and flood in Chennai the Indian alliance of French car maker has postponed the production activities at its production unit located at Chennai. Before this company sources have claimed that the production of Kwid has been enhanced to meet the growing demand of this hatchback, at the time when company noticed its exceeding demand above 3 months.
Empowered with 799 cc petrol engine churning the power of 53 bhp and torque of 72 Nm, Kwid is the first hatchback which is developed on CMF-A platform and delivers the best fuel efficient figure of 25.17 kmpl in its segment.
