Dear Prithvi,

As you said your running will be of 1000 kilometers that means approx 33 kms per day. And with this much of city running Petrol car hatch will be a great option, hatchback because you will drive in city conditions where parking and cutting corners is a challenge. There are numerous choices available that starts with Hyundai i10, Maruti Ritz, Honda Brio, Maruti Swift and Toyota Etios Liva:

Honda Brio: if you look decent mileage, trendy features, chic looks and ultra refined and smooth petrol i-vtec engine.
Hyundai i10: This comes with fluidic looks and hassle free features inside along with cozy interiors that are rarely found in this segment and at this price point. The petrol efficiency is not that great but engine is worthy.
Maruti Ritz: Maruti product, with nearly no maintenance advanced K series engine delivering apt mileage numbers. It is spacious with tall image and has adequate features inside the cabin. If you can wait first facelift is underway and Diwali launch is on the cards.
Maruti Swift: A tested renowned hatch will all goods overall, but the rear seat is a bit cramped one. All qualities of being a famous maruti vehicle.
Toyota Etios Liva: Spacious hatch among all, mileage is pretty good interior look upmarket but the engine refinement and features inside are not that overwhelming, but safety features are remarkable in this hatch.

We would suggest you to wait for New Ritz, or else go for any one as per your convenience and need .
