Volkswagen Vento diesel rocks!!!

I am a fan of Volkswagen cars and when Volkswagen launched Vento in India, I knew that this is going to be a part of my drive way one day. Finally I got the chance to buy this sedan a year ago and I am extremely happy with it. Diesel car had become important to buy as maintaining petrol car is very expensive these days, also a drive a lot on highways therefore it was further more important for me to upgrade to a diesel car. Powered by a sturdy 1.6 litre, four cylinder, in-line DOHC, 105 PS at 4400Rpm and 250Nm torque at 1500-2500Rpm. The 1.6 litre engine is harmonized to a manual transmission and returns a stupendous mileage of 15.5 kmpl in city and 20.5 kmpl on highway.

The sedan lacks safety features like Anti-Lock Brake system, front passenger airbag, driver airbag; however central locking is offered which is a very common safety feature, found in most of the cars. Other features like CD player and alloy wheels are also not available in this variant of Vento. Owning a Volkswagen car is itself matter of pride and lack of these features do not pinch me, I can get these now on my car.
