Yesterday I took the test drive of the all new Tata Indica eV2, the car is same like the other Indica’s but this time Tata has launched India with a new engine which makes it a little bit different.

Exteriors
While talking about its exteriors the car looks no different from any other Indica running on the roads. But some new features like new decals on the doors, and the badging on sides gives it a little bit new look.

Interior
The interiors are modernised. You get a wooden trim on the centre console, new and stylish seat covers. The accelerator pedal is positioned that it moves up to down instead of moving from front to back. The fitting and finishing of the interiors makes it a step forward from its earlier versions.

Engine
Engine is the basic thing on which Tata and Arai has focused on. The car is capable of giving a mileage of 25 Kmpl on highways and 18.5 Kmpl in the city. This is something which you will like about this car.

Ride and Handling
The car takes just 7 seconds to go from 40-80 Kmph in the third gear which is a good thing while driving in the city. Tata has also improved the handling of the car as compare to the older versions.

Overall
My verdict is the car is easy to drive and fuel efficient also but it lacks safety measures like ABS and air bags which have now become a necessity rather than an option.
